Wilmer "Pap" Bruce Crawford

  Wilmer "Pap" Bruce Crawford, 85, of Warfordsburg, PA passed at his home with his wife, family and his dog Star by his side on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021.

     Pap was born in Warfordsburg, PA on November 22, 1935, the son of the late Edna B. (Mellott) and Bruce A. Crawford.

     He retired from Union 37 and was a farmer, truck driver, worked in construction operating heavy equipment and also worked at Phantom Fireworks in Warfordsburg, PA.  Pap enjoyed spending time with his family, flea marketing and hunting.  He spent a lot of time teaching his grandchildren and great grandchildren how to butcher, make soup in kettles and canning.

     Pap is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Leona  (Barnes) Crawford whom he married on June 20, 1954, two daughters, Cindy Booth (wife of Andy Swope), Judy Neil (wife of Arthur), sister Izella Barnes (wife of Earl "Johnnie) all of Warfordsburg, PA, six grandchildren, Christi Ritz (wife of Brian), Jennifer Youngblood, Brock Hoopengardner (husband of Kayla Roth), Julie Rhoades (wife of Kevin), Jodi Welch (wife of John), John Appel, III (husband of Holley), seventeen great grandchildren, Levi Mellott (husband of Caitlyn), Caleb Youngblood (companion Elisha Powell), Macy Youngblood, Erica Hoffman, Janelle Appel, Nichole Youngblood, Tyler Youngblood, Bruce Hoopengardner, Alexis Rhoades, Lucas Rhoades, Tanner Ritz, Jacob Welch, Lane Roth, Jaylon Welch, Jaxon Welch, Weylin West, Skyler Rhoades and one great great granddaughter Payslee Youngblood.

     Religious Service at Bedford Chapel Church, Warfordsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 13th, 2021  with Pastor Carl Sipes and Pastor Delmas Bard officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before the service  at the church on Saturday.  Please follow CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19.

     Interment at Cedar Grove Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg, PA.
