Warren E. Clugston

     Warren E. Clugston, 86, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Sunday, December 12th, at the Maugansville Mennonite Home, Hagerstown, MD. 

     Warren was born in East Hempfield, Pa on December 31, 1934, a son of the late Mary K. (Ebersole) and Max W. Clugston.  He was the widower of Lois J. (Hertzler) Clugston, whom he married on January 14, 1956.  She preceded him in death on August 2, 2020.

     Warren was a member and Pastor of the Mountain View Mennonite Church in McConnellsburg, PA for over forty years.  He was also involved with multiple farm equipment dealerships throughout the area.  Warren also was very active in SLM Ministries in Haiti for many years. 

     He is survived by his daughters Donna (wife of Gerald) Histand, of Rome, PA, Diane (wife of John) Histand, of Rome, PA, Maxine (wife of Lawrence) Weaver, of Lahmansville, WV, Gail (wife of Robert) Weaver, of Maysville, WV, sons Keith (husband of Deloris) Clugston, of McConnellsburg, PA, Rene (husband of Jennifer) Clugston, of McConnellsburg, PA, Alan (husband of Doreene) Clugston, of McConnellsburg, PA, sisters Mary Grace Strite, of Chambersburg, PA, Anna Blanche Martin, of Chambersburg, PA, Betty (wife of Duane) Martin, of Mineola, TX, Maxine (wife of Kenneth) Oberholzer, of Chambersburg, PA, Janet Yoder, of Greencastle, PA, Marie (wife of Richard) Oberholzer, of Greencastle, PA, brother Dale (husband of Ethel) Clugston, of Shippensburg, PA and sister-in-law Audrey Clugston, of IL.  He is also survived by thirty two grandchildren and fifty four great grandchildren.  He ws preceded in death by two grandchildren, LaRose Clugston, Marlita Histand, a brother Tom Clugston, an infant brother and sister, and three brother-in-laws Clarence Strite, Omar Martin and Arliss Yoder.

     The family of Warren will be hosting a time of visitation on Sunday, December 19th, 2021 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6PM to 8 PM at the Needmore Bible Church, 6939 Great Cove Rd. Needmore, PA 17238.

     Funeral services will be held at Needmore Bible Church, Needmore, PA, at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 20th, 2021 with Mountain View Mennonite Ministries officiating. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at the Mountain View Mennonite Church Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA following the services at the church.
