Wanda C. Stone

 Wanda C. Stone, 73, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 surrounded by her loving family, at her residence.

     Wanda was born in Germantown, MD on September 21, 1947, a daughter of the late Clarence (Cox) and Claude  Tibbs.  She was the widow of Myron D. Stone, Sr., whom she married on February 14, 1964.  He preceded her in death on March 24, 2015.

     She was a member of the Harrisonville Holiness Church, Harrisonville, PA, the VFW Auxillary, Post # 655, McConnellsburg, PA.  Wanda was a homemaker, she loved taking care of her family.  She enjoyed playing bingo, bird watching, collecting hummingbird figurines and bells.  She was an avid reader, she enjoyed reading books, Daily Devotional and her Bible.  Wanda truly loved spending time with her family.

     She is survived by her children Katherine W. (wife of Keith) Connelly, of McConnellsburg, PA, Melody C. Stone-Wald, of McConnellsburg, PA, and Myron D. (husband of Maria) Stone, Jr., of McConnellsburg, PA.  Wanda is also survived by her grandchildren Randell Connelly (husband of Juan Vega), Gregg Connelly (husband of Jamie Connelly), Russell Connelly, Sr., Matthew Stone, Veronica Stone (fiance of Larkin Shearer), Jacob Wald, Lucas Wald and great grandson Russell "RJ" Connelly, Jr.  She was preceded in death by three sisters Edna Kidwell, Louise Strouth, Joyce Lamb and three brothers William "Bill" Tibbs, Albert "Woody" Tibbs, Kevin "Cookie" Tibbs and a son in law Eric Wald.

     There will be a visitation held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 5 PM to 8 PM. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. 

     Funeral services will be held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc.,  McConnellsburg, PA, at 2:00 PM with an hour of visitation prior to the service on Sunday, June 20th, with Melody C. Stone-Wald officiating. 

     Interment will be  private at the convenience of the family.
