Robert J. "Bob" Skiles, Sr.

     Robert J. "Bob" Skiles, Sr., 82, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Monday, October 7th, 2019 at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg,  PA.

     Bob was born in McConnellsburg, PA on December 12, 1936, the son of the late Ruth (Sipes) and Frank Mayer Skiles.  He was the husband of Cynthia M. (Rhodes) Skiles.

     Mr. Skiles retired from JLG Industries in McConnellsburg, PA after working there for forty years, enjoyed hunting, spending time with his grandchildren and loved his dogs, especially Taco.

     In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Susan V. (wife of Rick) Keefer, of McConnellsburg, PA, sons Robert J. (companion Robin Dawley) Skiles, Jr., of McConnellsburg, PA, Tony D. (husband of Tamara) Skiles, of McConnellsburg, PA, step-sons Larry (husband of Nora) Gantt, of Hustontown, PA, Mike (husband of Trina) Gantt, of St. Thomas, PA, step-daughter Wanda Cane, of Georgia, brothers Dwight and Fred  Skiles of McConnellsburg, PA, sister Alice Kahn, of Harrisonville, PA, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and eleven step-great grandchildren.  Bob was preceded in death by son Michael Skiles, first wife Connie Skiles, brother Frank Skiles and grandson Dalton Skiles.

     Visitation will be Thursday, October 10th, 2019 from 4 to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.

     Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 11th, 2019  with Pastor William McCommons officiating.

     Interment at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
