Ralph E. Shotts, 94, of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Saturday, October 16th, 2021 at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.
Ralph was born in Laidig, PA on December 31, 1926, the son of the late Blanche (Schooley) and Harry Shotts. He was the husband of Audrey J. (Mumma) Shotts whom he married on May 21, 1947.
Mr. Shotts served in the U.S. Army as a Cpl in WW II, was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church in Harrisonville, PA where he served on the board of Trustees, worked at the Letterkenny Army Depot and retired from T. B. Woods in Chambersburg, PA. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and camping with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Vicki K. Henry, of McConnellsburg, PA, Mary Lou DeShong, of McConnellsburg, PA, Cheryl (wife of Gary) Shives, of St. Thomas, PA, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Ralph was preceded in death by sister Grace Heefner, brothers Paul, George and Charles Shotts, granddaughter Kimberly D. Wible, son-in-laws Tom DeShong and William Henry.
Religious Service at Fairview United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, PA, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 20th, 2021 with Pastor Marsha Bookhamer officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Wednesday at the church. The family requests those in attendance to wear a mask and follow CDC guidelines for COVID-19.
Military services will be conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard.
Interment at Fairview United Methodist Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA.
