Morris Suders, Jr. Obituary

Morris left his mountain home he called "Jute's Ponderosa" for his home in heaven on Veterans Day, November 11, 2022.

Morris "Jute" was born on April 21, 1942, to the late Morris and Evelyn (Ficks) Suders at home in McConnellsburg, PA.  Morris married the love of his life, Nancy (Mellott) Suders on May 31, 1960.

Morris joined the United States Army at age 17 and was assigned to the 32nd Armor at Fort Steward, GA as a tank crewman in the Armors Headquarters and Service Company.  He completed combat training at Fort Knox, KY.  He was reassigned to Augsburg, Germany during the Berlin Crisis.  He was also a Vietnam Veteran.

Morris opened his own garage "Jute's Auto Repair" in 1984.  He was a Chevy man and  loved fast cars, the faster the better.  He enjoyed participating in classic car shows.  He loved to hunt and was a expert with a rifle.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms and spending time with his family.  He was a life member of the McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Company and he loved to drive the fire trucks.

Morris and his wife went south every spring and fall.  He never met a stranger.  He could talk with someone that he had just met.  He was a people person.

Along with his beloved wife of nearly sixty-three years, he is survived by children; Morris lll (husband of  Pam Welsh), Patty (wife of Kent Fix), Rebecca (wife of Richard Kendall).  He is also survived by his granddaughter Emily, who hunted squirrels with her pappy, grandsons Morris lV and Lukas, who fished with their pappy at Spring Run, Matthew, who rode with his pappy in his 56 Chevy to McDonalds to get chicken nuggets and Garrett, who talked guns and ammo with his pappy, two great grandsons, two great granddaughters and his Lab (Rocky ll).

Forever in our hearts and never forgotten.

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
