Michael L. Chilcote, Sr.

     Michael  L.  Chilcote, Sr, 64, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 12th, at his residence. 

     Michael  was born in Ephrata, PA on August 8, 1958, a son of the late Francis A. (Pascovich) and Charles R. Chilcote.  He was the husband of JoAnn D. (Sexton) Chilcote, who he married on September 3, 1994.

     Michael served in the United States Navy on the USS Francis Marion as a Boiler Technician and a fireman.  He served as the Director of Maintenance and Security at the Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, PA. Michael was very active and giving of his time in his community. He was a life member and past president of the McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Company, which he helped in the planning of the new firehouse, a task that he was extremely proud of.  He served as the Mayor of McConnellsburg for numerous years.   He was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed riding his Harley.

     In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his son Michael L. (husband of Tammy) Chilcote, Jr., of Greencastle, PA, daughter Lindsey (wife of James) New, of Delaware, daughter Chastidy Chilcote, of Gap, PA, son Jonathan Chilcote, of McConnellsburg, PA, son Robert (husband of Micki) Shehan, of South Mills, NC, daughter Elizabeth Shehan (wife of Tariq) Hussein, of The Bronx, NY and brother Alan (husband of Shelby) Chilcote, of Virginia.  He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Chilcote.

     Services will be private at the convenience of family.
