Margaret J. Reeder

     Margaret J. Reeder, 89, of Southern Pines, NC, and formerly of McConnellsburg, PA for sixty five years, passed away Saturday, April 15th, at her residence in North Carolina.

     Margaret was born in Maddensville, PA on September 13, 1933, a daughter of the late Zelda Pearl (Wible) and Daniel  Ramsey.  She was the wife of Kenneth E. Reeder, whom she married on June 3, 1950.

     She attended the McConnellsburg United Methodist Church while living in McConnellsburg, PA and was a homemaker.  Margaret was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with her family. 

     In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters Sharon D. Reeder of Williamsport, MD, Kena L. (wife of Anthony) Foreman of Pinehurst, NC, sisters Betty Amsley, of Chambersburg, PA, Thelma (wife of Cecil) Mellott, of Needmore, PA, Stella McCleary, of Chambersburg, PA, Darlene Ramsey, of Hustontown, PA, Judy Kagarise (wife of Dave Helsel), of Loysburg, PA and brother Melvin (husband of Revonda) Ramsey, of Hustontown, PA.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Angela Hann, Jesse Richards and Shane Richards.  Margaret was preceded in death by sister Miriam Kelly and brothers Donald and Reuben Ramsey.

     Funeral services will be held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 20th,  with Jeremy Fletcher officiating.  There will be one hour of visitation held prior to the service at the funeral home.   

     Interment will be at Union Cemetery McConnellsburg, PA.
