Louis L. Wright, 88, of Needmore, PA passed away Monday, November 16th, 2020 at his residence.
Louis was born in Frostburg, MD on September 26, 1932, the son of the late Hazel (Emerick) and Leonard Wright. He was the husband of Patricia C. (Garvin) Wright whom he married on June 22, 1951.
He served in the U.S. Marines as a Sgt in the Korean War, was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Nazarene in Harrisonville, PA and was also assistant Pastor at the Harrisonville Holiness Church. Louis was a truck driver who never met a stranger and he loved talking to people about faith in the Lord and salvation. He enjoyed hunting, shooting and biking. Louis also loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by son John R. (husband of Selita) Wright, of Harrisonville, PA, daughters Sharon A. (wife of Bill) Butler, of Fleetwood, PA, Deborah L. (wife of John) Calabrette, of Quakertown, PA, Susan E. (wife of Stanley) Howell, of Harrisburg, PA, his uncle Louis "JR" Emmerick, of San Mar, MD, eighteen grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Louis was preceded in death by son Jeffrey L. Wright, brother David R. Wright, grandsons Cyrus Lewis, Joseph Wright and granddaughter Jenevieve Wright.
Graveside service at Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 21st, 2020 with Pastor Toby Mellott officiating. If attending, it is encouraged to bring a lawn chair and follow CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 restrictions.
Military services will be conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard.
