Kenneth "Lee" Glazier, 85, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at WellSpan York Hospital, York, PA.
Lee was born in Chambersburg, Pa on March 29, 1938, a son of the late Viola (Comerer) and Kenneth S. Glazier. He was the husband of Sharon M. (Mellott) Glazier, who he married on June 20, 1959.
Lee was a lifelong dairy farmer. He worked the land and tended to his cows tirelessly through out the years to provide for his family. He even took a job at Corning Glass in Greencastle and worked the night shift to supplement the farm during a drought.
Lee was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran in Big Cove Tannery, PA and the Mt. Zion Lodge # 774 Masonic Lodge, McConnellsburg, PA. He was very active in the farming community and served on many boards and committees through out his life. He was a past member of the Fulton County Conservation District, the Farmers Home Administration (FmHA), Fulton County Saddle and Dairy Farmers of America (DFA). He also was a past board member and school bus driver for the Central Fulton School District.
He was a devoted family man and enjoyed working on the farm, helping in anyway he could as he got older. Lee was a John Deere enthusiast, loving anything John Deere. He really enjoyed going on Kubota rides in the evenings, looking for deer. He also enjoyed watching The Young and the Restless, playing cards, chess and riding horses in his younger years.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his son Curtis L. (husband of Lori) Glazier, of McConnellsburg, PA and daughter Tricia G. (wife of Daniel) Dubois, of Pembroke. MA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Conrad Glazier, Caitlin (wife of Andrew) Weaver, Brittney (wife of Joshua) Durant, Jared Dubois and Morgan Dubois and a great granddaughter Colby Weaver. He was preceded in death by a brother Calvin Conrad Glazier.
There will be a visitation held on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Needle in the Haystack, LLC, Big Cove Tannery, PA. Funeral services will be held at Needle in the Haystack, LLC, Big Cove Tannery, PA, at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 27th, with Deacon Meredith Shives officiating.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery McConnellsburg, PA.
