John E. Hann, 84, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Friday, September 10th, at his residence.
John was born in Big Cove Tannery, PA on December 18, 1936, a son of the late Adaline (Kuhn) and David Rush Hann. He was the husband of Helen D. (Pittman) Hann, whom he married on April 21, 1963.
He served in the United States Army then worked at various local farms before going to Grove Manufacturing and working as a machinist till he retired. He used to attend the Webster Mills Free Brethren Church in McConnellsburg, PA. John enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and working in his garden. He also loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his daughters Kathy (wife of Mike) Fischer, of Crystal Springs, PA, Dreama (wife of Norman) Everts, of McConnellsburg, PA, sons Melvin Hann, of McConnellsburg, PA, Steven Hann, of McConnellsburg, PA and brother Chalmer (husband of Lois) Hann, of Chambersburg, PA. He is also survived by three grandchildren Alenda Fischer, Dylan Everts, Colton Everts and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Kevin J. Hann, brothers Harold, Melvin, Frank, Elmer and Blair Hann and sisters Arlene Kuykendall, Cleo Younker, Lois Leevy and Jessie Fix
There will be a visitation held on Monday, September 13th from 6 PM to 8 PM. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.
Funeral services will be held at Webster Mills Free Brethren Church, McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 14th, with Pastor David Hann officiating. There will also be one hour of visitation held prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery McConnellsburg, PA.
