James W. "Jimmy" Rauch

     James W. "Jimmy" Rauch, 53, of Mercersburg, PA, passed away Sunday, July 30th, at his residence.  

     Jimmy was born in Monroe, GA on April 1, 1970, a son of the late Helen Mae (Dowdy) and Jack R. Buterbaugh.

     Jimmy was 1988 graduate of McConnellsburg High School.  He was employed at C. William Hetzer Inc., Hagerstown, MD for the past twenty-seven years as low boy operator.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR and dirt track racing.  Jimmy had a love of the Chevrolet Corvette, owning numerous throughout his life.  He was the life of the party, enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family and he adored his grandson Colt.

     He is survived by his son Heith W. (husband of Savannah) Rauch, of Greencastle, PA, brother Ricky L. Dowdy, of McConnellsburg, PA, sisters Laura A. Pennwell, of McConnellsburg, PA and Sheila K. Rauch, of McConnellsburg, PA.  He is also survived by a grandson Colt William Rauch , niece Ashley Pennwell and nephew Joey Rauch.

     There will be a visitation held on Monday, August 7th from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. 

     Funeral services will be held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 8th, with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating.  There will also be one hour of visitation held prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Union Cemetery McConnellsburg, PA.
