James C. "Jim" Hendershot

  James C. "Jim" Hendershot, 63, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Sunday, March 29th, 2020 at UPMC Pinnacle West Shore, Mechanicsburg, PA.

     Jim was born in McConnellsburg, PA on February 9, 1957, the son of the late Clara Jean (Garland) and William S. "Short" Hendershot.  He was the husband of Cindy K. (Rice) Hendershot whom he married on May 11, 2001.

     He was an equipment operator for Kinsley in York, PA and was a member of the American Legion Post #561 in McConnellsburg, PA.  Jim was a very loving man who enjoyed hunting and spending time with his loving wife and family  He also had many friends and will be missed by all.

     In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Amy C. Elvey, of Chambersburg, PA, Kim J. Heck, of Chambersburg, PA, Elica Fogelsonger, of Shippensburg, PA, son Jimmy Hendershot, of Harrisonville, PA, sister Teresa C. Brown, of McConnellsburg, PA and nine grandchildren.  Jim was preceded in death by infant sister Deborah J. Hendershot.

     Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating.  Interment will be at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
