Doris Keebaugh Obituary

What a glorious day this 29th day of October, 2022. Doris Sheila Keebaugh, 77, of Needmore, PA left this earthly place for her heavenly realm.  The angels are rejoicing with the death of one of His saints.
Sheila was born in Baltimore, MD on March 18, 1945, the daughter of the late Eileen T. (Thornton) and Howard S. Bean.  She was the wife of Harper A. Keebaugh.
During her twenty years in Fulton County, Sheila made a happy life with Harper.  He did his thing, hunting and fishing while Sheila was involved with several community activities.  Her first love here was Release Time or as its known now as Bible Adventure as a teacher for fifteen years and a listner for two years until illness made her quit.  Sheila's other passion, gardening, was a high priority.  As a result, much, much canning was done at their home.  She was a former member of the North End Garden Club and the Penn State Master Gardeners.  Sheila's love  of animals led her to care for a colony of feral cats.  Feeding them daily and getting them spayed and neutered.  There had been as many as thirty-six cats there, but they are down to twenty.  Homes were found and placed for many of them.  Some to Connecticut, Washington D.C., West Virginia and various cities through out Pennsylvania.  Harper, Carrie and Kevin are carrying on now.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter Theresa (wife of Brian) Fadeley, of Martinsburg, WV, sons William (husband of Vanessa) Kitner, of Hedgesville, WV, Stephen (husband of Cindy) Kitner, of Martinsburg, WV , step-daughter Brandi (companion Kevin) Keebaugh, of Winchester, VA, sister Martha Holmes, of Strausburg, VA, grandchildren Greg Talley, Christopher Kitner, Wil Kitner, Carlie Kitner, Stephen Kitner, Tyler Kitner, great grandsons Hunter Talley and Joe Kitner.
Religious Service at Needle in the Haystack, 1424 Cito Road, Big Cove Tannery, PA, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 3rd,  2022 with Pastor Roger Truax officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Interment at Ebenezer United Methodist Cemetery, Needmore, PA.
These final days of my life has given me the opportunity to share with many folks the wonderful news of Eternal Life.  Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life.  Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?"  John 11:25-26
