Donald M. Truax

 Donald M. Truax, 88, Warfordsburg, PA went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 28, 2021.

     Born to the late Henry and Roxie (Lynch) Truax, Donald celebrated his birthday as March 9, 1932.

     Donald loved animals and spent his life working on the farm and tending to the cows. He had a special way with the animals. He also enjoyed visiting with his friends at the Warfordsburg Senior Center where, as a part of the original group, he had been attending for over thirty years.

     Donald is survived by his family, Robert and Helen Layton, Alan and Ann Layton, Tina and Robert Crawford, Erica and Emalyn Hartley, Diana and Sarah Layton, Michelle Golden, Alana and Eric Birzon, and Faith Ann Musser.  He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Tic Tac Toe.

     The family will host a visitation on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM   at Whips Cove Church, Warfordsburg, PA.  Please follow CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 restrictions.  The family of Donald encourages the use of masks and social distancing. 

     Funeral services and interment will be private.  Burial will be in Jerusalem Christian Church Cemetery, Warfordsburg, PA with Rev. Delmas Bard officiating.

     The family wishes to extend an extra special thank you to Mandolin and his caregivers from CRI, Darla and his caregivers from SpiriTrust Lutheran Hospice, and Cindy at the Senior Center for all they did for Donald.

     In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Donald's name to SpiriTrust Lutheran Hospice, 2700 Luther Dr, Chambersburg PA 17202 or to the Warfordsburg Senior Center, 209 Longhollow Road, Warfordsburg PA 17267.
