Delores A. Houck

     Delores A. Houck, 82, formerly of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at Chambers Pointe Healthcare Center, Chambersburg, PA.

     Delores was born in Saxton, PA on November 12, 1940, a daughter of the late Maria Mae (Fagley) and David A. Bollman.  She was the widow of Donald Mack Houck, who she married on May 12, 1967.  He preceded her in death on July 19, 2013.

     In her younger years, she worked at the Everett Sewing Factory, Everett, PA before becoming a homemaker to take care of her son.  Delores was a member of the Knobsville Church of the Brethren, Knobsville, PA.  She enjoyed crocheting and loved her family, especially her grandchildren and dogs. 

     She is survived by her son David (husband of Sherry) Houck, of Fort Littleton, PA, sister Audrey  Reed , of Huntingdon, PA and brother John Bollman, of Saxton, PA.  She is also survived by her two granddaughters Abigail and Rachael Houck of Fort Littleton, PA.  She was preceded in death by her sisters; Edna Mae Bollman Rumberger Colyer and Grace Funkhouser.

     Funeral services will be held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 15th,  with Pastor Rick Egolf officiating.  There will be one hour of visitation held prior to the service at the funeral home.   Interment will be at Bethel Church of God Cemetery in New Grenada, PA.
