Charlotte J. "Joyce" Wright

     Charlotte J. "Joyce" Wright, 83, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Friday, October 1st, at her residence.  

     Joyce was born in McConnellsburg, PA on December 6, 1937, a daughter of the late Dorothy (Edwards) and Clyde L. "Kelley" Sipes.  She was the wife of Bob L. Wright, Sr., whom she married on June 6, 1956. 

     Joyce worked at the former IGA in McConnellsburg for many years before retiring.  She attended and  was a member of the Freedom Worship Center in Ft. Littleton, PA.  Family was very important to Joyce, she loved all them dearly, especially her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great  grandchildren.  She loved cooking for her family, she always tried to make their birthdays special by cooking their favorite meal and making them their favorite cake.  She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting.  

     In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Bobby L. (husband of Pam) Wright, Jr., of McConnellsburg, PA, son Jeffrey A. (husband of Debra) Wright, of Ponca City, OK, daughter Jennifer L. (wife of Kevin) Wade, of Ft. Littleton, PA and son Billie  Joe (husband of Susan) Wright, of St. Cloud, FL.  Joyce is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren, seventeen great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister Doris Wright.  

     A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Freedom Worship Center, Ft. Littleton, PA., with Pastor Kevin Wade officiating.  There will be visitation held from 12 PM to 2 PM at the church.

     Interment will be private.
