Charles J. "Jack" Reed

Charles J. "Jack" Reed, 85, of Warfordsburg, PA, passed away Monday, March 9th, at his residence.

     Jack was born in Doylesburg, PA on September 15, 1934, a son of the late Elsie (Collins) and Herbert M. Reed.

     Jack served in Unites States Army and then worked numerous jobs throughout his life, working at Letterkenny Army Depot, hauling milk and his favorite job was being a caretaker at a dog kennel.  He was a member of the Mason Dixon Beagle Club and Fort McCort Coon Hunters Association.  Jacked loved hunting, fishing, his dogs and baseball, with the Baltimore Orioles being his favorite team.

     He is survived by his companion of twenty five years, Sharon K. Buterbaugh of Warfordsburg, PA,  his sons Jeff E. Reed, of Spring Run, PA, Charles "Mick" (husband of Billie Jo) Reed, of Upper Strasburg, PA, and sisters Geraldine Kelly, of Shippensburg, PA and Pat Foreman, of Fayetteville, PA.  He is also survived by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two on the way.  He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy L. Reed.

     There will be a memorial service held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 12th,  with Chaplain Dan Summers officiating.  There will be visitation held from 6 PM to 7 PM.

     Interment will be private at the convenience of the Family.
