Beryl M. Palmer

 Beryl M. Palmer, 86, of Warfordsburg, PA passed away Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care, McConnellsburg, PA. 
     Beryl was born in Big Cove Tannery, PA on November 4, 1934, the daughter of the late Helen (Lynch) and Gayle  Waltz.  She was the wife of Glen H. Palmer whom she married on September 8, 1955.
     Mrs. Palmer attended the Charlestown United Methodist Church in Mercersburg, PA.  Beryl graduated from Warfordsburg High School.  After graduating from high school, she attended City Hospital School of Nursing in Martinsburg, WV.  After completing nursing school, she started working in 1955 as a nurse at the Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, PA.  She then obtained her Bachelor's degree in nursing from Millersville University prior to becoming the school nurse at the Forbes Road School District. She then retired in 1997.  Beryl enjoyed quilting, needlework, flower gardens, traveling and time spent in Chincoteague, VA.  She also loved her family very much.  
     In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Steven G. Palmer, of Warfordsburg, PA, daughters Karen L. (wife of Jim) Sourbier, of Greencastle, PA, Lisa A. (wife of Bob) Fleegle, of Mercersburg, PA, sisters Charlotte Tennis, of Waynesboro, PA, Alma Fitzwater, of Waynesboro, PA, Audrey (wife of Dave) Norris, of Little Orleans, MD, grandchildren Rebekah (wife of Ben) Elser, of Yulee, FL, James (husband of Brittany) Sourbier, of Martinsburg, WV, great grandchildren Annamarie, Alexander, Aaron, Abraham and Amelia Sourbier, Emersyn and Everett Elser.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.  Beryl was preceded in death by sister Phyllis Corsnitz, brother Gerald Waltz, grandson Daniel Sourbier and great grandson Emmett Elser.
     Visitation will be Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 9 AM to 11 AM with the family receiving friends from 10 AM to 11 AM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. 
     Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 1st, 2021 with Pastor Russell Hoffman officiating.
     Interment at Warfordsburg Cemetery, Warfordsburg, PA.
