Barbara J. Weller

Barbara J. Weller, 69, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Thursday, January 13th, 2022 at her residence. 
     Barbara was born in Chambersburg, PA on September 1, 1952, the daughter of the late Margaret E. (Funk) and Vearl D. Fletcher.  She was the wife of Stephen B. Weller whom she married on August 21, 1976.
     Mrs. Weller graduated from Southern Fulton High School in 1970 and then attended the Franklin County Vo-Tech obtaining her LPN license.  She then went on to work at the Fulton County Medical Center for fifty years as an LPN, she also worked in infectious control, she was the employee health nurse and also worked in the Wellness Center in Cardiac Rehab.  During that time she was also a part-time school nurse.  Barbara also was a member of the McConnellsburg United Methodist Church and was an active participant in the Relay for Life and Daffodil Days.  
     Barbara dedicated her life to helping others, she had an infectious laugh and was always the life of the party.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, vacationing, especially going to the beach, going on cruises and antiquing.  
     In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Barry A. (husband of Melissa) Weller, of McConnellsburg, PA, sisters Rita J. (wife of Timothy) Stapleton, of Martinsburg, WV, Cathy L. (wife of Dennis) Albright, of Chambersburg, PA, brothers Bryan V. (husband of Debbie) Fletcher, of Harrisonville, PA, Stuart K. (husband of Cheryl) Fletcher, of McConnellsburg, PA, Eric K. Fletcher, of Clearville, PA, sister-in-law Anita B. Weller and significant other Darron Butts, of McConnellsburg, PA, brother-in-law Jerris  Weller and wife Barbara Phillips , of Derry, PA, granddaughter Beatrice Ann Weller, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  Barbara was preceded in death by niece Kendra R. Souders and father-in-law Bruce H. Weller.
     A visitation will be held on  Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 4 to 6 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc, McConnellsburg, PA. 
     Funeral service will be at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022  with Pastor Denver Plessinger officiating.
     Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
