William J. "Will" Black

William J. "Will" Black, 26, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Friday, September 23rd, at his residence.

Will was born in McConnellsburg, PA on March 30, 1996, a son of Tracy A. (Mellott) Black and Fred W. "Bill" Black, Jr of McConnellsburg, PA.

Will was a graduate of McConnellsburg High School. He had worked construction at Dustin Construction in Ijamsville, MD.  He attended Dublin Mills Community Church.  Will loved music, hanging out with his friends and he enjoyed skateboarding.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter Lavinia Anne Pixler, of Greencastle, PA, and sister Shandi M. (wife of Logan) Bonner, of St. Thomas, PA.  He is also survived by paternal grandmother Deloris (DeShong) Black, his Aunts Tonya Black of McConnellsburg, PA, Becky Sipes Knobsville, PA and nephew Braxton Bonner.  He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Barry L. and Patricia A. Mellott and paternal grandfather Fred W. Black, Sr.

There will be a visitation held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 5 PM to 8 PM. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday.

Funeral services will be at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM  on Friday, September 30th,  with Pastor Sam Stoey officiating.

Interment will be at Walnut Grove Church of God Maddensville, PA.
