William Z. Rouzer

William Z. Rouzer, 75, of Harrisonville, PA, passed away Wednesday, December 31st, 2014 at University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Bill was born in Bedford County, PA on January 20, 1939, the son of the late Lena Dora (Harr) and Ord  Rouzer.  He was the husband of Beverly A. (Hann) Rouzer whom he married on January 20, 1957. He was a member of the Sideling Hill Christian Church in Needmore, PA and did small engine repairs and tool sharpening.  He also enjoyed hunting and building bird houses. In addition to his wife, he is survived by Sons Rusty A. Rouzer of Mercersburg, PA, Barry E. (husband of Shari) Rouzer of St. Thomas, PA, Brian K. (husband of Kathy) Rouzer of Harrisonville, PA, Daughter Bonnie S. Rouzer of Bradford, PA, Sisters Janet (wife of Randy) Appleby of Ft. Loudon, PA, Helen (wife of Amos) Carbaugh of Mercersburg, PA, Betty Harr of Welsh Run, PA, Carole (wife of Barry) Barnes of Chambersburg, PA, Rhoda (wife of Butch) Christopher of Athens, AL, Doris Knisley of Bedford, PA, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by sisters Debbie Rouzer, Darlene Weyant, Dorothy Smouse, brothers Sheldon, Sam, Alan and Charles Rouzer. Religious Service at Sideling Hill Christian Church, Needmore, PA, at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 5th, 2015  with Pastor William Swope officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 4th, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM.   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Monday at the church. Interment at Sideling Hill Christian Cemetery, Needmore, PA.
