IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William "Bill" L.
Kendall
December 14, 1941 – December 2, 2025
William "Bill" L. Kendall, 83, of Harrisonville, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in McConnellsburg, PA. Bill was born on December 14, 1941, in McConnellsburg, PA. He was the son of the late Robert and Hilda (Carbaugh) Kendall. He was the husband of Kathy J. (Snyder) Kendall, who he married on August 25, 1974.
Bill was an avid hunter, fisherman, farmer, and jokester, who found his peace in the outdoors and his relaxation in a good book or watching a ballgame-especially baseball and soccer. His hunting and fishing stories always grew bigger and better throughout the years. He loved coaching soccer and was always willing to volunteer his time and skills at the alumni building in McConnellsburg, PA. Nothing brought him more joy than watching his grandchildren in their many activities.
Bill would have given the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He was always ready to lend a hand. He loved deeply-not through grand gestures or many words, but through the actions that defined his life.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Weslie (wife of Greg) Johnson, of Greencastle, PA; Leslie Kendall, of Chambersburg, PA; Kelly (wife of Bill) Roberts, of Newville, PA; and his son Brian Kendall of Allentown, PA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Morgan Johnson, Berkley Johnson, Mary Rotz, Phillip Rotz, Alex Kendall, Maddie Kendall, Paul Roberts and Hannah Roberts. Bill is also survived by his siblings: sister Betty Mills, of Mercersburg, PA; sister Nancy (wife of Bob) Richards of McConnellsburg, PA; brother Bob (husband of Bonnie) Kendall of McConnellsburg, PA; brother Carl (husband of Althea) Kendall of McConnellsburg, PA; brother Tom Kendall of McConnellsburg, PA; brother John (husband of Cindy) Kendall of McConnellsburg, PA; brother Steve "Crazy" (husband of Tammy) Kendall of Harrisonville, PA; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters Anna Harvey and Linda Zawacky, and brothers Marrow "Shorty" Kendall and Harry "Bait" Kendall.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
