Wendy L. (Imler) Fischer

Wendy  L. Fischer, 58, of Warfordsburg, PA, died Thursday, June 7th, 2012 at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Wendy  was born in Roaring Springs, PA on October 7, 1953, the daughter of the late  William E. and June (Hinish) Imler who survives her of Hollidaysburg, PA. Mrs. Fischer  was a member of Whips Cove United Church of Christ Warfordsburg, PA.  She worked as a Registered Nurse at the Fulton County Medical Center till 2011.  Then she became an Assault Nurse for the Fulton/Bedford Counties Women in Need.  She was also a volunteer nurse for the Fulton County Camp Cadet Program for 18 years.   Wendy was a Penn State fan a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved the Pirates and Penguins. She is survived by her son Justin W. Fischer, husband of Gerri of McConnellsburg, PA, daughter Amy D. Fischer of Hagerstown, MD, brother Brad W. Imler, husband of Barbara of New Enterprise, PA, nephew Bill  Imler of New Enterprise, PA. and niece Katie Yorke, wife of Jared of Greencastle, PA.  She is also survived by a grandson Levi J. Ramsey, Morgantown, WV Religious Service will be held at Whips Cove United Church of Christ, Warfordsburg, PA, at 2:00 PM  on Sunday, June 10th,  with Pastor Gene Harding officiating. Interment will be private. There will be a visitation on Saturday, June 9th from 2 PM to 8 PM.   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., 873 Lincoln Way East McConnellsburg, PA  17233.  There will also be one hour of visitation before the service at the church..
