Born July 19, 1932 at his grandparent's home located in Eagles Foundry near Broad Top, he was the son of the late W. Lee and Lottie L. (Griffith) Anderson. As a very young boy, he lived with his family in Todd where he attended The Green School in Trough Creek Valley. Later his family purchased a dairy farm located on Enid Road near Wells Valley where he attended the Rock Run School.
Guy was a farmer at heart and after leaving the family farm, he worked as a dairy herdsman at Wayne Locke's farm near Lemasters and Foster Swope's farm near Needmore. Through the years, Guy also worked at Gateway and Texaco in Breezewood, Maynard Wilkins Feed Mill in Crystal Springs, and drove a coal truck for Orin Shaw.
Most Fulton County folks may remember Guy best from his 54 years as a partner in the A & G Lumber Company with his dear friend Blaine Gordon of Needmore. Guy also enjoyed many years of hunting and storytelling with Blaine and many of his other friends of the Needmore-based "Gordon Gang."
During the past 31 years, Guy operated a 1500 capacity pig farm, after working a full day in the woods, to nurture his love for farming. He loved horses and Jack Russell dogs.
Saw milling and farming at the age 81, Guy was a very hardworking, industrious man. He was a member of the Sidling Hill Christian Church and the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He was a 4-H horse and pony club leader for 37 years and a board member of the local chapter PA Farm Bureau.
Guy will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend. Many folks may also remember him as a friendly, hardworking man who lived a clean and truly Christian life.
Guy is survived by his wife Margaret "Normalee " Bard Anderson of Needmore. Guy met Normalee while on a 4-H trip to Penn State University. After 4½ years of courting, he married his lovely bride on May 14, 1955 at the Sidling Hill Christian Church in Needmore.
