Walter Swope

Walter Swope, 78, of Saxton, PA went home to see his Lord, Mom, Dad, little girl and brothers on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Pennknoll Village in Everett, PA.

Mr. Swope was the son of the late Delbert and Winifred (Fick) Swope of Robertsdale, PA.

He attended the Robertsdale Elementary School, served in the Army Reserves, worked at various jobs throughout his life and was a member of the Cito United Methodist Church in McConnellsburg, PA.  Walter loved his church, Pastor Anderson and all the people there.  With his mom being his greatest influence, he was saved and baptized.  Walter also loved people and tried to help them as much as he could.

Walter is survived by three children, James Swope, Betsy Swope, Mark Swope, grandchildren Trish and Nicko whom he loved very much, siblings Alice Fisher, John Swope, Ada Miller and Chester Swope.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by infant daughter Amy Ruth Swope.

Walter did not want a public viewing or funeral.  He was just looking forward to going to his Heavenly Home.
