Vivian Reilly went to her Lord and Savior on January 12, 2024. She was born to Vernon and Una Reese in the small hamlet of Burnt Cabins, PA on March 24,1926. Vivian was the younger of two girls (Helen Reese Morton-deceased). She was blessed with three children: Lyle, Kenneth, and MaryAnn Reed (deceased), then blessed again with five grandchildren (Jennifer, Julia, Laurie, Christine and Charles) and six great grandchildren. Vivian was married to her great love, William Reilly (deceased) in 1987. Vivian greeted everyone with a coy smile and vivid blue eyes, twinkling with mischief. She was an excellent cook and baker (made a lovely minced-meat pie); she also had an avid canning regimen every summer. Vivian enjoyed being active in various pursuits. She dabbled in golf, played piano, a multi-decade member of Fulton County's Farm Women Society, loved playing Wii bowling and her bingo game was very strong. She was well suited for a career in the NASCAR circuit-ask anyone who ever rode in a car with her. Vivian's life is one to celebrate. Her family will miss her daily phone calls, her bubbly personality and her zest for life. The holiday table will be noticeably empty without her, but her laughter and anecdotes are well documented in her family's hearts. When asked how she was feeling, Vivian would variably say "The old gray mare ain't what she used to be" which was never true, she was so, very much, more. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA with Pastor Dick Bernhard and Patty Hall officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in McConnellsburg, PA. Online condolences may be expressed at www.howardlsipes.com.
