Thorn A. Pittman

Thorn A. Pittman, 18, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Friday, March 17th, 2017 as a result of a dirt bike accident. Thorn was born in McConnellsburg, PA on April 20, 1998, the son of Mary A. Pittman of Needmore, PA. He recently graduated from the Taylor Diversion Program in Tionestia, PA and after graduation he was planning on attending UTI where he got a scholarship for a diesel mechanic.  Thorn then wanted to enlist in the Marine Corp.  He loved the outdoors and especially riding his dirt bike. In addition to his mother, he is survived by sisters Jen E. (fiance Brandon Yocum) Pittman of McConnellsburg, PA, Harley A. Nipper of Needmore, PA, brother Juan "Little Tony" Nipper of Needmore, PA, maternal grandmother Wanda K. Thurber of McConnellsburg, PA and maternal great grandmother Cleo M. Fraker of Orbisonia, PA.  Preceded in death by maternal grandfather Isaac Pittman, maternal great grandfather Merril N. Fraker and maternal great grandmother Hazel Pittman. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 12:00 PM on Friday, March 24th, 2017  with Pastor Dick Bernhard and Matt Swope officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 23rd, 2017 from 2 to 8 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home. Interment at Sideling Hill Baptist Cemetery, Needmore, PA.
