Thomas B. Matthews

Thomas B. Matthews, 75, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Saturday, September 12th, 2015 at Meritus Hospital, Hagerstown, MD. Thomas was born in Ft. Littleton, PA on June 14, 1940, the son of the late Edna (Mathews) and Charles  Matthews.  He was the husband of Rosetta L. (Lininger) Matthews whom he married on December 22, 1968. Mr. Matthews was of the Protestant faith, served in the US Navy as an E-1 and was a retired mechanic from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR. In addition to his wife, he is survived by Daughter Tonya Roche of Denver, CO, Sons Robert Matthews of McConnellsburg, PA, Tom Matthews of Chambersburg, PA, Sisters Pat Wible of McConnellsburg, PA, Louise Kerlin of Ft. Littleton, PA, Linda Reeder of Hagerstown, MD, Norma Ricker of McConnellsburg, PA, Brother Ronald Matthews of Ft. Littleton, PA, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by sisters Elsie Sipes, Shirley Truax and brother Richard Matthews.
