Terry L. Mcgowan

Terry L. McGowan, 72, of Three Springs, PA passed away Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at Meritus Health, Hagerstown, MD. Terry was born in Chambersburg, PA on September 26, 1949, the son of the late Lois I. (Barnett) McGowan and LeRoy E. McGowan.  He was the husband of Gloria J. (Houck) McGowan whom he married on June 9, 1990. Mr. McGowan served in the U.S. Navy as a SN in the Vietnam War, was a lifetime member of the Hustontown Volunteer Fire Company and worked as a maintenance person at Woodlawn Retirement Home in Orbisonia, PA.  He also worked at Cutchall's Service Station in Ft. Littleton, PA.  Terry enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was able to and also spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Tina L. (wife of Eric) Gillis, of Chambersburg, PA, son Tim L. (husband of Heather) McGowan, of Waterfall, PA, step-sons Ken E. Gearhart, of Three Springs, PA, Gary L. Gearhart, of Port Ritchey, FL, brother Randy L. (husband of Shirley) McGowan, of Hustontown, PA, grandchildren Caleb, Erin, Wyatt, Cody and two great grandchildren. Religious Service will be held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 10th, 2022  with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Interment at Center United Methodist Cemetery, Three Springs, PA. Military services will be conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard.
