Shirley M Mcgowan

Shirley M. McGowan, 68, of Hustontown, PA passed away Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 at her residence. Shirley was born in Huntingdon, PA on February 15, 1956, the daughter of the late Helen B. (Hartman) Reed and William E. Reed, Sr.  She was the wife of Randy L. McGowan whom she married in January of 1979. She retired from Paige Electric in McConnellsburg, PA and enjoyed spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.  Shirley also enjoyed camping by the river near Mt. Union, PA. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Chasity (wife of Stephen) Waite of McConnellsburg, PA, Randi (wife of Alan) Knepper of Ft. Littleton, PA, Brittany McGowan of Hustontown, PA, sisters Carol Greenland of Cassville, PA, Norma Brown of McConnellsburg, PA, Judy Zeger of Hustontown, PA, Brenda Deshong of Shippensburg, PA, brothers Willis Reed of Orbisonia, PA, William E. Reed, Jr. of Altoona, PA, grandchildren Ainsley Waite and Malachi Knepper.  Shirley was preceded in death by sisters Anna Reed, Darlene Reed, brothers Clair and Charles Reed. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held at Center Cemetery in Waterfall, PA. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
