Sandra Elaine Boring, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at the age of 87.

 Sandra was born on June 23, 1938, in Johnstown, PA. She was the daughter of the late George L. Howard and Dorothy H. (Brady) Brooks. She was the widow of the late Ronald S. Boring, who she married on September 25, 1954. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2003. 

She loved traveling and exploring new places, spending time tending to her garden, and listening to music. Above all else, she treasured time with her family. Family dinners and holidays were especially meaningful to her, and she created countless memories around the table that her loved ones will cherish forever.

She is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl (wife of Douglas) Boberg, of Wichita Falls, TX; Deb Bolinger (companion of James Romig), of Waterfall, PA; and Michelle Boring, of Chambersburg, PA. She was also a proud and beloved grandmother to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, all of whom brought her tremendous joy. She will be remembered for her love of family, her warm heart, and the many memories she created with those who loved her.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, with Chaplain Bob Murr officiating. There will be one hour of visitation held prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnstown, PA.
