Ruth M. Hock

Ruth M. Hock, 72, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 at her residence. Ruth was born in Newville, PA on September 2, 1943, the daughter of the late Ruth (Keck) and Ralph  Morrison.  She was the wife of Paul  Hock, Jr. whom she married on November 16, 1963. Mrs. Hock graduated from Shippensburg High School in 1961, was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ, Carlisle, PA and was a  partner in farming with her husband for over thirty-nine years.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Ruth will always be remembered for her sense of humor and never give up attitude. In addition to her husband, she is survived by Daughters Brenda (wife of Max, Jr.) McQuait of Hustontown, PA, Paula (wife of Bill) Clevenger of Houston, TX, Son Paul Hock, III of McConnellsburg, PA, Sisters Linda Smith of Shippensburg, PA, Lilly Dickinson of Fayetteville, PA, Brothers Charles Morrison of Newville, PA, Ralph Morrison of Summerdale, AL, ten grandchildren and two great granddaughters.  Preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, McConnellsburg, PA with Pastor John Hodge officiating.
