Ruth L. Briggs

Ruth L. Briggs, 67, a resident of Manor Care Nursing Home, Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Needmore, PA passed away Monday, April 18th, 2011 at the nursing home. Ruth was born in Upper Strausburg, PA on January 29, 1944, the daughter of the late Raymond and Olive (Latherow) Bair.  She was the widow of Glenn I. Briggs whom she married on June 1, 1961 and he passed away on July 11, 1995. She is survived by Sons Raymond Briggs of Harrisonville, PA, Glenn Briggs, II of Needmore, PA, Daughters Glenda Maxwell of Illa, GA, Donna Newell of Harrisonville, PA, Sister Sarah Neil of Fannettsburg, PA, Brother Raymond Bair of Willow Hill, PA, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Religious Service at Needmore Bible Church, Needmore, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 21st, 2011 with Pastor Doug Poffenberger officiating. Interment at Needmore Bible Church Cemetery, Needmore, PA. There will be visitation on Wednesday, April 20th, 2011 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at Howard L.
