Russell C. Hann

Russell C. Hann, 91, of Warfordsburg, PA passed away Monday, July 8th, 2013 at Menno Haven Nursing Home, Chambersburg, PA. Russell was born in Needmore, PA on October 22, 1921, the son of the late Jacob and Dovie (Mellott) Hann.  He was the husband of Junia  C. (Garland) Hann whom he married on October 18, 2003. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore, PA, the McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Company, was a farmer and also loved hunting. In addition to his wife, he is survived by Step-Daughter Janice I. (wife of Roy) Morse of Warfordsburg, PA, Step-Sons Don DeShong of McConnellsburg, PA, Hervey P. (husband of Sandy) Hann of Warfordsburg, PA, Leon (husband of Sabrina) Hann of Warfordsburg, PA, Step-Daughter-in-law Peris Hann of Laytonsville, MD, seven step-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by first wife Olitipa (Kline) Hann who passed away June 13, 2001, sister Thelma Knepper, brothers Cletus and William Hann and step-son Eugene Hann. Religious Service at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 11th, 2013  with Pastor Roger Truax and Pastor Freeman Snair officiating. Interment at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Needmore, PA. There will be visitation on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 2 to 8 P.M. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc, McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Thursday at the church. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
