Rudolph J. "Rudy" Smith

Rudolph J. "Rudy" Smith, 82, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Sunday, February 15th, 2015 at Manor Care Nursing Home, Chambersburg, PA. Rudy was born in Clearville, PA on January 10, 1933, the son of the late Dora (Dicken) and Ralph N. Smith.  He was the husband of Dorothy Ann (Hann) Smith whom he married on November 6, 1954. Mr. Smith was a member of the Emanuel Baptist Church in Hagerstown, MD and he retired from Mack Truck in Hagerstown, MD.  He also had worked as an electrical inspector for several electric companies and was a used car salesman.   Rudy enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by Daughters Deborah L. (wife of Robert) Peck of Knobsville, PA, Rena A. (wife of Bruce) Sipes of McConnellsburg, PA, Grandchildren Richard A. Shelley, Nathan B. Sipes, Wendy A. Mellott, Melissa B. Suders, Rachel M. Carbaugh and eleven great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by brothers Gene Smith, Patrick Smith and Ralph Smith, Jr. Services and interment will be private. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
