Roy C. Miller

Roy C. Miller, 75, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Thursday, March 31st, 2022 at West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg, PA. Roy was born in Warfordsburg, PA on April 19, 1946, the son of the late Florence "Peg" (Reel) and Leroy "Wess" Miller.  He was the husband of Shirley A. (Mellott) Miller whom he married on May 23, 2003. Mr. Miller served in the US Army as a SP5 during the Vietnam War, was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in McConnellsburg, PA and was a car salesman at Fulton Motor Sales in McConnellsburg, PA for many years.  Before working at Fulton Motor Sales, he worked at Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, PA.  After working at Fulton Motor Sales, he went to Mason Dixon Auto Carriers and then went full time at Harryman Brothers True Value in McConnellsburg, PA, working until weeks before his passing.  Roy enjoyed hunting, working and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Dion R. (husband of Karen) Miller, of Metamora, IL, Dane R. (husband of Jo) Miller, of Needmore, PA, Danny R. (husband of Michelle) Miller, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, Doug R. (husband of Marsha) Miller, of Chambersburg, PA, Hunter W. Miller, of McConnellsburg, PA, Kirby A. (husband of Amy) Mellott, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, daughter Jennifer E. (wife of Joe) Conway, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, sisters Ruth J. Bentz, of Needmore, PA, Ruby F. (wife of Bill) Barnhart, of Needmore, PA, brother Ray E. (husband of Kelly) Miller, of Needmore, PA, grandchildren Cole, Jessie, Jake, Breanna, Kylee, Connor, Noah, Colby and Carson Miller, Levi, Miles and Emmalin Mellott and great granddaughter Josie Miller.  Roy was preceded in death by brothers Charles "Chuck" Miller and Roger Miller. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7th, 2022 from  2PM to 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 6PM to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 8th, 2022  with Pastor Jim Leslie officiating. Interment at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Nazarene Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA. Military services will be conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard.
