Rose C. Posthumus

Rose C. "Ginger" Posthumus, 82, of Warfordsburg, PA and formerly of Maggie Valley, NC passed away Saturday, April 14th, 2018 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Rose was born in Media, PA on February 23, 1936, the daughter of the late Rose C. (Wills) and William Theodore Messerschmidt.  She was the widow of Henry Peter Posthumus whom she married on December 3, 1955 and he passed away on December 8, 2001. Mrs. Posthumus attended Maggie Valley United Methodist Church in North Carolina and was a medical technologist at Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, D.C.  Rose enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling and making friends. She is survived by sons Eugene Louis Posthumus of Gaithersburg, MD, Daniel Peter Posthumus of Warfordsburg, PA, William Kyle Posthumus of Berryville, PA, daughters Debra Carol Bard of Warfordsburg, PA, Susan Kay Tuvell of Chesapeake, VA, brother William Theodore Messerschmidt, Jr. of Marshall, NC, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by one great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
