Ronald  E. "Ronnie" Matthews, 84, of Fort Littleton, PA, passed away Tuesday, September 13th, at the Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.

Ronnie  was born in Fort Littleton, PA on January 25, 1938, a son of the late Edna (Mathew) and Charles  Matthews. He was the husband of Kathryn E. (Fagley) Matthews, whom he married on June 14th , 1958.

Ronnie served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1958.  He worked as a machinist for Frog Switch & Manufacturing Company in Carlisle, PA.  He was member of the American Legion Post 561 McConnellsburg, PA,  a 32nd Degree Freemason, fifty year member of the Masonic Lodge 260 in Carlisle, PA and a member of the Harrisburg Consistory.  Ronnie enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and watching the hummingbirds on his porch.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Richard LeRoy Matthews, of Carlisle, PA,  Lisa Dawn (wife of Brent) Shugart, of Carlisle, PA, Crystale Renee (wife of Lawrence) Sullivan, of Las Vegas, NV, sisters Linda  Reeder, of Hagerstown, Md, Pat Wible, of McConnellsburg, PA and Norma Ricker, of Orbisonia, PA.  He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by sisters Elsie Sipes, Shirley Truax, Louise Kerlin brothers Richard Matthews and Thomas Matthews.

Funeral services will be private.  Interment will be at Union Cemetery McConnellsburg, PA.  Military honors will be conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard.
