Ronald Roy Mellott

Ronald Roy Mellott, 86, of Needmore, PA, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024 at his residence.

Ronald was born in Harrisonville, PA on May 17, 1937, a son of the late Josephine M. (DeShong) and W. Roy Mellott.  He was the widower of Elizabeth M. "Susie" (Ranck) Mellott, who he married on June 23, 1958.  She preceded him in death on March 10, 2022.

Ronald was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Brethren Church in Needmore, PA.  He was a carpenter throughout his life and part owner/operator of Fulton Builders in McConnellsburg, PA.  Ronald enjoyed the outdoors and loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons Ronald L. (husband of Pixie) Mellott, of Needmore, PA and Eric R. (husband of Mendy) Mellott, of Needmore, PA.  He is also survived by five grandchildren; Kele Jo Mellott, Preston Carbaugh, Brandi Carbaugh, Erika Fix, Nathan Mellott, seven great grandchildren; Keyanna Simmons, Jett Fix, Cydni Mellott, Cree Phillips, Tripp Carbaugh, Brynn Fix and Dierks Mellott.

The family of Ronald would like to extend a special thank you  to his caregiver Kelly Fagley, for the loving care she gave "Pap".

There will be a visitation held on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.

Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant Ridge Brethren Church, Needmore, PA, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 16th,  with Rev. Roger Truax and Pastor Mac Miller officiating.  There will also be one hour of visitation held prior to service on Tuesday at the church.

Interment will be at the Pleasant Ridge Brethren Cemetery Needmore, PA.
