Robert M. "Buck" Pittman

Robert M. "Buck" Pittman, 89, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Tuesday, June 10th, 2014 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Buck was born in McConnellsburg, PA on October 11, 1924, the son of the late Mame (Gillis) and McClellan S. Pittman.  He was the husband of Esta C. (Mellott) Pittman whom he married on February 6, 1946. Mr. Pittman delivered milk and farmed in his earlier years, worked at JLG for ten years and retired from the Bureau of Forestry.  He also enjoyed hunting and trapping in his younger years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by Son Mark A. Pittman of McConnellsburg, PA, Daughters Jane E. (wife of William) Kies of McConnellsburg, PA, Cathy J. (wife of Michael) Cline of McConnellsburg, PA, Sister Mary R. Kline of McConnellsburg, PA, Grandchildren William P. Kies, II of Hustontown, PA, Robert A. Kies of McConnellsburg, PA, Michael B. Cline of Crystal Springs, PA, Nicole D. Hose of Falling Waters, WV, Erin A. Cline of McConnellsburg, PA, Abby J. Mowen of Waynesboro, PA, seven great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by brothers Paul, Matthew and John Pittman. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 14th, 2014  with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating. Visitation will be  Friday, June 13th, 2014 from 2 to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
