Riley "Wayne" Miller

Riley "Wayne" Miller, 86, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Friday, December 21st, at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.

Wayne was born in Waterfall , PA on May 22, 1932, a son of the late Edna (Deaver) and Daniel  Miller.  He was the husband of Betty  J. (Houck) Miller, whom he married on December 22, 1951.

Wayne was a member of the the National Guard in his younger years.  He then worked at Letterkenny Army Depot for forty years before retiring.  After retirment, he worked at the former McConnellsburg Auto Parts for ten years.  He was a member of Siloam United Methodist Church Harrisonville, PA, where he served on many committees throughout the years.  Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Diane M. (wife of Terry) DeShong, of McConnellsburg, PA and Sandy K. (wife of Milfred) Keefer, of Mercersburg, PA.  He is also survived by four grandchildren; Heather (wife of Corey) Dayley of Mercersburg, PA, Heidi Johnston of Mercersburg, PA, Toby (husband of Tabitha) DeShong of McConnellsburg, PA, Courtney DeShong fiance of Bradley Vaughn of Shippensburg, PA and three great grandchildren; Campbelle Dayley,  Lillie Dayle and Dalton Heinbaugh.  He was preceded in death by a son Richard Miller and brothers Fred and Charles Miller.

There will be a visitation held on Sunday from  2 PM till 4 PM. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be one hour of visitation held prior to the service on Monday.

Funeral services will be held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc, McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 24th,  with Rev. Donald Bard officiating.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the Family.
