Ray S. Kerlin, age 82, of Elrama, PA passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2010 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Local 66 in Monroeville and a member of the Church of God in Monongahela. He enjoyed collecting and working on antique cars. Born November 16, 1928 in Hustontown, PA, he was a son of the late Howard W. and Cecillian Wible Kerlin and husband of the late Fay E. Speicher Kerlin. He is survived by daughters, Regina D. Hicks of Punxsutawney, Trudy K. Rock of Homestead and Connie E. (Rev. William) Luckadoo of McAlisterville; sons, Samuel E. (Rosemary) Kerlin of Perryopolis, Howard R. (Mary) Kerlin of Jefferson Hills and Brian J. (Tina) Kerlin of Floreffe; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Kathryn Morris, Helen Storm, Martha House and Anna Zun, all of the State of California; nieces and nephews. One of 17 children, Ray was predeceased by his parents, eight brothers and four sisters. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth, PA on Sunday, December 26th from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. Visitation will also take place on Monday from 11AM - 2PM in the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, 875 Lincoln Way East, McConnellsburg, PA followed by a 2PM service in the chapel, with his son-in-law, Rev. William Luckadoo officiating. Burial will follow in the Kerlin Cemetery, Hustontown, PA.
