R. Wilmer Mellott

R. Wilmer Mellott, 95, of Needmore, PA passed away Saturday, May 30th, 2015 at his residence. . Wilmer was born in Needmore, PA on September 3, 1919, the son of the late Lilly (Mellott) and Reed  Mellott.  He was the widower of Olla N. (Engle) Mellott. He attended the Sideling Hill Primitive Baptist Church, Needmore, PA, the Faith Assembly of God Church, Warfordsburg, PA, had worked for PennDOT for twenty plus years, the PA Turnpike, was a farmer and he also loved to hunt. Mr. Mellott is survived by Sons Clarence Walter Reed Mellott of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Eugene L. Mellott of Harrisonville, PA, Barry L. Mellott of Needmore, PA, Randy Jay Mellott of Needmore, PA, fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren and four great great great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by son Leroy M. Mellott and brother Cam H. Mellott. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 5th, 2015  with Elder William Payne and Pastor Delmas Bard officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 4th, 2015 from 2 to 8 PM.   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
