Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, R. Boyd Cromer passed away February 18, 2015. Born at home, he was the son of Robert and Estelle (Wible) Cromer. He lived on that same farm all of his life. Boyd married Freda Warthin in 1952. They were blessed with 5 children: Robbie, Ann Gray (Mark), Barbara Dolan, Tim (Tammie) and Ned (Constance). They have 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A member of the McConnellsburg United Presbyterian Church, Boyd served as a trustee and a deacon. He was a good steward of God's creation. As a farmer, Boyd was past President and a vice president of the Fulton County Farm Bureau.  He held both those offices in the local Interstate Milk Producers. For a few years he served on the ASA committee. Later he was appointed to the Fulton County Conservation District Board.  At one time he was on the board of the Fulton County Medical Center. Boyd enjoyed working with the many friends that he made. Boyd served as a Dublin Township supervisor, and a director of the Fort Littleton Cemetery Association. He was also an Odd Fellow in the Fort Littleton group.  Mr. Cromer was one of the founding members of the Hustontown Volunteer Fire Company.  He served as both trustee and deacon at McConnellsburg United Presbyterian Church. Well respected in his community, Boyd was affectionately called "Pap" by many. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant". Boyd is survived by his wife of 63 years, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Helen Long, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was proceeded in death by his parents, three sisters and a brother. As a longtime member of the Fulton County Medical Center Board of Directors; his wish is that in lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Fulton County Medical Center Foundation. The Funeral service will be held at 10 A.M at McConnellsburg United Presbyterian Church on Monday, February 23, 2015. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 2 to 8 P.M at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc in McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Monday at the church.       Interment at Ft. Littleton Cemetery, Ft. Littleton, PA.
