Phyllis E. (Ragland) Eader

Phyllis E. Eader, 75, of  Big Cove Tannery, PA, died  Friday, July 26th, 2013 at her residence. Phyllis was born in Hagerstown, MD on June 26, 1938, the daughter of the late Albert Russell and Goldie Levenia  (Clark) Ragland.  She was the widow of John  H. Eader Sr, whom she married on August 29, 1956.  He preceded her in death on June 19, 2010. She worked as a Homemaker and also helped her late husband with the family business.  She was the President  of the Owls Club Ladies Auxillary of Hagerstown, MD, since 1977.  Phyllis loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her son John H. Eader Jr. (companion of Carol) of Big Cove Tannery, PA, Daughter Clara L. Wetzel (wife of Robert) of Big Cove Tannery, PA, Son Wyatt E. Eader of Big Cove Tannery, PA, Son Jacob R. Eader (husband of Kristy) of Buck Valley, PA, Son Cheyenne R. Eader Sr. (husband of Penny) of Big Cove Tannery, PA, Daughter Dolly A. McCumbee (wife of William Jr.) of Berkley Springs, WV, Son Michael A.  Eader Sr. (Companion of Tina) of Big Cove Tannery, PA, Son David L.  Eader Sr. (wife of Loretta) of Big Cove Tannery, PA, Brother Harry Ragland of Mercersburg, PA, Sister Gladys Whitmere of Hagerstown, MD and Sister Bonnie Ragland of Hagerstown, MD.  She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 16 step grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 17 step great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by brother Albert Ragland, sisters Francis Stevens, Alberta Woodcock, Nancy Renner and 3 step great grandchildren Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA , at 11:00 AM  on Tuesday, July 30th,  with Pastor Lowell Bard and Pastor Russell Hoffman officiating. Interment at Rehoboth Cemetery Tollgate Ridge, PA. There will be visitation on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 2 PM to 8 PM. at Howard L.
