Phyllis L. Duffey

Phyllis L. Duffey, 91, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, passed away Friday, October 14th, at Paramount Senior Living, Fayetteville, PA.

Phyllis was born in Berkeley Springs , WV on November 3, 1930, a daughter of the late Agnes (Everett) and Harry  Barker.  She was the widow of H. Clyde  Bivens, who preceded her in death in November of 1987.

Phyllis was a farmer throughout her life, working on the family dairy farm.  She also worked at the Fulton County Medical Center for  ten years and the former Big D store in McConnellsburg for twelve years.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in McConnellsburg, the VFW Post 655, McConnellsburg and she attended the Laurel Ridge Christian Church in her younger years.  She enjoyed crocheting, flowers and flower gardening.

She is survived by her daughter Debra T. (wife of Harold) Peck, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, sister Mary Breeden, of Berkeley Springs, WV, brother Larry Barker, of Berkeley Springs, WV, grandson Michael (husband of Jennifer) Hinckle and a great grandson Wyatt Hinckle.  She was preceded in death by her second husband H. Lyle Duffey, who died in December of 2012, brothers John Barker, Harry Barker and sister Betty Tucker.

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be at Laurel Ridge Christian Church Cemetery.
