Pearl A. Mellott Kruhm, 88, of Warfordsburg, PA passed away Sunday, March 11th, 2012 at her residence.
Pearl was born in McConnellsburg, PA on December 14, 1923, the daughter of the late Clarence and Georgia Ellen (Knable) Truax. She was the widow of Earl A. Kruhm.
Mrs. Kruhm was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore, PA, was a seamstress at Sagner, Inc. in McConnellsburg, PA, the Stanley Co. in Chambersburg, PA and was a baker at Weaver's Restaurant in Hancock, MD upon retiring.
She is survived by Sons Sheridan H. Mellott, Jr. of Warfordsburg, PA, Terry L. Mellott of McConnellsburg, PA, Barry K. Mellott of Hustontown, PA, Daughter Beverly E. Hess of Florida, Step-Son Kenneth Kruhm of Maryland, Step-Daughter Kathleen Garstang of Richmond, VA, Brothers Harold N. "Pee Wee" Truax of McConnellsburg, PA, George Truax of Shady Grove, PA, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by first husband Sheridan H. Mellott, Sr., son Eugene W. Mellott, step-son Raymond Kruhm, sisters Betty Howell, Alma Hill, Dorothy Pittman, brothers Melvin Truax and Clarence Truax, Jr.
Religious Service at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore, PA, at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 15th, 2012 with Pastor Roger Truax officiating.
Interment at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Needmore, PA.
There will be visitation on Wednesday, March 14th, 2012 from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Thursday at the church.
