Paula N. DeShong, 50, of Warfordsburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly with her husband, Ross on Saturday, August 1, 2026. 

Paula was born on October 11, 1975 in Fayetteville, NC. She was the daughter of Jamie (wife of Rick) Kiser, of Waynesboro, PA and the late Paul A. Young. She was the wife of the late Ross "Brad" B. DeShong who she married on November 7, 2025. 

Paula was part of the graduating class of 1994 of Chambersburg High School. She worked at Advanced Auto Parts, Frederick Market Hub in Frederick, MD. She also worked in the Cafeteria and drove the school van for Greencastle School District. Paula loved gnomes, her dogs Milo and Ottis and riding motorcycles, but most importantly she loved her nieces and nephews and spending time with her family. 

In addition to her mother, Paula is survived by her children, Kalvin and Kayla Marcoux of Greencastle, PA. She is also survived by her sisters, Roxanne (wife of Michael) Walker, of York Haven, PA, Ashley (wife of Travis) Hammond, of Fayetteville, PA and Loretta Gates of Waynesboro, PA, her nieces, Paige, Madison, Mellisa, Mckenzie, Kylie, Katie and Kara, and her nephews, Hunter and Masyn. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Stella Formanek and maternal grandfather, Tom Formanek.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 12 , 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, with Rev. Joshua Shadle officiating. There will be one hour of visitation held prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be at Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA.
