Patricia F. "Pat" Mellott

Patricia F. "Pat" Mellott, 84, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Friday, July 15th, 2016 at her residence. Pat was born in Chambersburg, PA on October 15, 1931, the daughter of the late Bessie O. (Waltz) and Oscar A. Keefer.  She was the widow of Carl N. Mellott whom she married on April 28, 1951 and he passed away on November 19, 2002. She ran the Sears store in McConnellsburg and the Keystone Kustard Kitchen in Knobsville for many years along side her husband. Pat  was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in McConnellsburg, PA, enjoyed spending time with her family and also taking care of her flowers. Pat is survived by daughter Nancy E. (wife of Denny) Ritchey of McConnellsburg, PA, sons Rodney R. (husband of Jackie) Mellott of McConnellsburg, PA, Jay A. Mellott of Southaven, Mississippi, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by infant sister Jewel Keefer and daughter-in-law Suzy Mellott. Religious Service at United Presbyterian Church, McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 20th, 2016  with Pastor Dale Williams officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 19th, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Wednesday at the church. Interment at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Co., 112 E. Maple St., McConnellsburg, PA 17233. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
